Spherion continues to run an ongoing engagement campaign on Facebook which consistently provides a new audience. As Facebook’s audience grows- so does Spherion’s ability to reach a larger, more diverse audience of both active and passive job seekers. In less than one week’s time, Spherion nearly tripled its fan base to nearly 8,000 active fans within their community. The promotional campaign provided some incredible insight into what was really taking place on a more localized level- one example being a surge of candidate feedback. Through this candid feedback, Spherion has improved their business model and communication strategy. Spherion also continues to receive a plethora of job applications via the CareerBuilder job feed on Facebook. Spherion continues to place an average of nearly 10% of our Facebook applications in temp, temp-to-hire and permanent positions. Spherion looks at Facebook as a relationship building tool with very viable job placement functionalities. “More than a company’s greatest asset, people are the key differentiator and biggest competitive advantage any company has. Facebook is an incredible way to connect with our candidates, share experiences, showcase opportunities, strengthen engagement online, and communicate our message to a mass audience. Utilizing this medium will never replace traditional job boards, but it certainly enhances our capabilities to capture talent. Roy Krause, CEO of Spherion Corporation
